DSSR was commissioned by architects Llewelyn Davies Yeang as services engineers for the fit-out of Malaysian Airlines' Golden Lounge at Terminal 4, Heathrow. Designed for use by First Class and Business Class passengers, the exclusive lounge incorporates bars and relaxation areas as well as a fully-equipped 'business centre', which features the fastest broadband connections, wireless LAN and a multitude of high-quality digital screens showing the latest news and stock market updates.
DSSR, as sub-consultant to the Architect, was responsible for the full design of new mechanical and electrical services as well as modification of existing services to be integrated with the new fit-out. The Golden Lounge was completed and opened to travellers in 2008.
