TESCO SUSTAINABILITY ENERGY COM.
DSSR is carrying out Energy Performance modelling for all new Tesco developments in Scotland to demonstrate compliance with SPP6 and PAN 84 planning legislation, and to provide energy advice on the expected C02 reduction available through the use of low and zero-carbon technologies and renewables.
In the region of 40 new developments are being modelled per year by DSSR, in line with the requirements of the EPBD. With many sustainable design features, Tesco's new eco-stores have a carbon footprint of around 50% lower than comparable stores built 3 years earlier.
