Forming part of a £400m masterplan for 3,400 new residential units at Granton Harbour on Leith's coastline, this development consisted of two blocks totalling 266 apartments. Each block features an internal landscaped courtyard and private underground parking. Canals have been introduced to enhance the dockside character of the area, forming a subtle compliment to the existing listed pier.
DSSR undertook all mechanical and electrical services design, including dynamic simulations to calculate internal temperatures throughout the building, allowing the efficiency of heating and cooling systems to be maximised.
With mixed-use commercial and retail developments forming a key part of the designs, Granton Harbour is becoming a lively and vibrant new neighbourhood on Leith's waterfront.
