Portman Square is situated north of Oxford Street in the heart of London and is one of the city's most prestigious Georgian squares. The new £34m headquarters building replaces two 1950s buildings as the home of Delancey, and provides 7 floors of Grade A office space.
The main north-facing façade that looks onto the square is designed to be a subtle composition of solid and glazed elements. The south-facing elevation comprises brick and limestone panels, attempting to reflect the residential character of the adjacent mews housing, and solar shading is used to prevent overheating to office spaces.
The pre-let project won 'West End Deal of the Year' at the 2009 Office Development Awards.
