CUPRUM

Completed in 2008, Cuprum is part of the plans for the regeneration of Anderston, adjacent to Glasgow's financial district, and forms the 5th phase of the redevelopment of Cadogan Square. The area is fast becoming a new commercial hub for Glasgow as the financial district expands westwards.

DSSR worked on the office building part of the development, which provides six storeys of Grade A office space in a 100,000 sq ft block. The overall mixed-use development was completed at a cost of nearly £60m. The project involved demolitions and major infrastructure re-planning with utility diversions undertaken by DSSR.

The building has an efficient core design and features HVAC with heat recovery applications, achieving a BREEAM score of Very Good.

DSSR was also lead M&E engineer on another two office buildings, Cerium and Europa, which were part of the redevelopment plans. Both buildings were completed by Taylor Woodrow.
