The first phase of the Middlehaven Dock Regeneration in Middlesbrough by leading UK sustainable developers Bioregional Quintain comprises a residential "Cube" called CIAC with 82 high quality apartments; associated public realm and car parking.
DSSR provided design and site supervision of all MEP services, including private wire electrical infrastructure; biomass heating; site services; LED car park lighting and district heating to all apartments. The building has been constructed to the highest performance standards using sustainable materials and methods in keeping with the original aims and vision of the regeneration masterplan.
Phase 1 was completed at the end of 2011 and is already a Middlesbrough landmark.
The 250 acre site is at the heart of a wider 20-year vision for the regeneration of Middlesbrough and the Tees Valley.
