The proposed mixed-use development replaces the existing Bishopbriggs Secondary School, which is being relocated to a new school building on another site. The prominent site for the new development offers Bishopbriggs the opportunity to reconfigure its town centre, and the proposal looks at incorporating new and existing buildings into an area that combines commercial, civic, residential and community healthcare functions, as well as providing new areas of public green space.
With such an important and prominent site, the design intends to become a key contributor towards the future sustainability of the town by creating a distinct place with its own identity where people will meet and find all the services they need.
