The Anderston Centre is one of a number of projects working towards the regeneration of Anderston in Glasgow, an area bounding the city centre that has been adversely affected by the decline of old industry, the construction of the M8 motorway and a number of unsuccessful post-war social housing schemes.
The £35m mixed-use development provides 122 apartments in a 20-storey tower and a 7-storey office building, both with private underground parking. The office block will provide 98,000 sq ft of 'Grade A' office space on a site at the boundary of Glasgow's expanding 'International Financial District'.
In addition to providing full M&E design services, including lift traffic analysis, advanced fire detection systems and fire lighting, DSSR was also responsible for construction stage monitoring, with validation of testing and commissioning routines.
