Located at the West of Scotland Science Park, the Coherent laser design and manufacturing facility is designed with flexibility in mind and takes into consideration potential needs for future expansion – the 28,000 sq ft building has the ability to expand to almost 100,000 sq ft.
The state-of-the-art facility features temperature control systems and air conditioning in high-performance laboratory areas. DSSR also provided clean room facilities with laminar flow cabinets as well as all fire protection and sprinkler systems, and undertook full services design for all office and staff areas within the building.
Since first going into business in 1966, Coherent has become a worldwide leader in the photonics industry, with production and research facilities all over the world.
