With an extensive portfolio of work in the Education sector, DSSR was selected as one of the lead engineering consultants involved with the University of Reading on their Framework agreement – a four-year building refurbishment and redevelopment programme costing around £200m that will see work carried out across three different campuses that comprise the university.
Work began in summer 2007, ranging from small-scale classroom refurbishments right through to large-scale new build construction schemes. Building contracts range in value from £500,000 to £25m.
The University of Reading is ranked as one of the UK's 10 most research-intensive universities and is a leading training ground for engineering and construction management.
