Description
This prominent site was the former home of the Courage Brewery and Victoria Finzel sugar refinery for over 300 years and is regarded as a site of national importance by English Heritage. HDG Mansur is undertaking a major redevelopment of the site comprising residential,commercial, leisure and retail units.
The 5.7 acre site is located in the Redcliffe conservation area and will comprise 37,000m2 offices, 384 flats, 2,760m2 of leisure, bar and restaurant space, a micro brewery and 5,340m2 of shops. The project involves the demolition of about one third of the buildings currently on site, but many of the historic ones including the Grade II listed generator building will be retained.Revised planning consent was granted in April 2005 and the scheme design is now being developed.

Ravenscraig, former steelworks and one of the largest brownfield sites in Europe at over 450 hectares (1,125 acres). As part of the joint venture company, Ravenscraig Ltd, Wilson Bowden Developments are appointed as lead developers to drive forward the transformation of this huge derelict site into an exciting innovative new community.
The proposed development includes 1 million sq ft of new retail and leisure within a new town centre; 3,500 houses; 2.2 million sq ft of industrial and office space and a range of community uses including a new further education college, two new primary schools, an indoor sports arena and a new railway station.

The 350m tall office tower became the tallest building in the Middle East . The 305m smaller tower is a 5-star 400-suite luxury hotel.
