Description:
This project comprises a 45 bed Inpatient Building, a Mental Health Unit and a General Medical Services Building on a combined Campus location at the old Sauchie Hospital site in Alloa. The building design incorporates solar shading and overhanging structure to minimise solar heat gain and discomfort. As a result, maximum use of natural ventilation has been achieved except where clinical or statutory requirements prevail.

Description
New 512-bed PFI Pembury Hospital at Tunbridge Wells comprising 7 storeys of planned & emergency surgery, orthopaedics, women & children’s zone, day case theatres and outpatient services.
This will be the first NHS hospital to have 100% single occupancy rooms with en-suite facilities and enabling the highest standards to be designed for patient safety and infection control.
Laing Equion achieved financial close in early 2008. Scheduled completion of the construction works is in 2010.
The infrastructure works are being constructed as a separate ProCure 21 contract - DSSR is appointed separately by Laing O’Rourke for the M&E infrastructure design and renewable energy feasibility studies. Project Value Architect

New acute PFI hospital project on a brown field site adjacent to the existing old church hospital. Catering, Pharmacy and Mortuary services are located at basement level and the remaining departments are located within the quadrants topped by one cylindrical ward accommodation.
