Description
The CAST Technium Building for the School of Informatics is a joint venture project between the WDA and University of Wales.  The project is at the leading edge of computer technology, incorporating virtual reality, accommodation software hotels, incubator suite, lecture theatres and open living/leisure facilities.

The Conference/Exhibition Hall can be configured into a lecture theatre if required and includes translation facilities & loop system & front projection passive wall with surround sound.

Major Masterplanning role following the merger of Victorian University of Manchester and UMIST. The combined universities will have a student body in excess of 30,000 with over 6,700 staff. It will be the largest University in the UK. The academic structure involves 180 University departments, which are to be re-organised into 4 coherent faculties. Spread over two disparate campuses, the City Centre estate comprises over 600,000 m2 of accommodation in 55 hectares and includes most types of University faculties.

Description:
DSSR are responsible for the detailed design of the M&E services at Clydebank High School, a new build project.

As part of the emphasis on sustainability Ground Source Heat Pumps have been integrated into the design and dynamic thermal modelling has been undertaken to prove the effectiveness of the natural and mixed-mode ventilation solutions proposed. A commitment has been given to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating and the M&E design has taken full account of the requirements to achieve this.

Description:
A New Media Centre for Sabhal Mor Ostaig in Skye has been constructed incorporating Broadcast Studio and Recording Suites and general media support for both the college and the community. Additionally office areas and a crèche/nursing area have also been incorporated into the building. This new building forms part of the existing college campus. As part of the contract biomass district heating scheme was provided to serve the new and existing buildings, incorporating a central biomass boiler and distribution pipework to the various campus buildings.
