Client
Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker/Spectrum Projects

Description
This landmark building, originally conceived by Richard Seifert, underwent a "back to brickwork" refurbishment with all existing finishes, mechanical & electrical services being removed to provide 17,000m2 of modern office space. A central bulkhead for all mechanical & electrical services was installed to allow the most effective use of space & light throughout the newly refurbished floors. DSSR opted to use a surface mounted chilled beam installation, with integral fluorescent lighting to give air conditioned air to all the floors.

The office environment is now designed to be functionally efficient and at the same time sensitive to the needs of the occupants. The lighting and air conditioning of preset zones can be adjusted to suit preferred needs via a new BMS system.

The building was partially occupied whilst the refurbishment work was being undertaken.
