History of DSSR

DSSR (formely Donald Smith, Seymour & Rooley), a Firm of  Building Services Consulting Engineers, was established over 60 years ago (circa 1945) when their first office was opened in Glasgow's Royal Exchange Place.

Donald Smith and Tommy Seymour came from contracting and were joined by George Rooley, formerly Chief Engineer with Scottish Industrial Estates. Their combined experience and background soon proved to be an invaluable benefit in building a diverse client base handling a huge variety of projects. Soon, there were offices established in Manchester and London, followed by Aberdeen and Harrogate and, most recently, Birmingham. The staff complement now exceeds 200 and DSSR is one of the largest consultant practices specialising in building engineering services.
